A global macro strategy will do very well in the hedge fund space this year, says Howard Eisen, managing director at Fletcher Bennett Capital, as he shares his investment insights with CNBC’s Amanda Drury and Maura Fogarty. Eisen also explains why the tech and healthcare sectors offer buying opportunities.

“The euro is a very credible currency, a currency that has a track record of keeping its value (and) is a major asset for investors,” ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet told CNBC after the central bank left interest rates on hold Thursday.

“The real economy has improved,” Yuwa Hendrick-Wong from MasterCard Worldwide said Wednesday. “At the moment, equities everywhere, especially in Europe, to a lesser extent in the US, are way ahead from what we can see in the real economy.” He sees stocks going into a “period of volatility.”
