The G20 is more political than it is economic and may not be the right forum for deciding economic issues such as banking levies, Moorad Choudhry from London Metropolitan University said. However, he said no firm policy announcement will be made by the G20 and the upcoming meeting is just a stepping stone on the way to a policy.
